Queen Victoria came to AIX on three occasions in 1885, 1887 and 1890. These visits were of paramount importance for our spa town.
Grapevine members, Josephine Fletcher and Claire Delorme-Pegaz have written the book ‘Victoria en Savoie, Trois séjours d’une Reine à Aix-les-Bains.’ The book is the result of much research and includes photographs, paintings and documents reproduced with the agreement of the Royal Archives of Windsor Castle.
The book details the little-known stories of the people and the circumstances that led to the Queens time in Savoie, and edited by the Grapevine Association.
Praise for the Book
